Meet Lisa
Lisa has been a resident of Superior Township for over three decades, originally from Ypsilanti, Michigan. Her dedication to education and community engagement has been a lifelong pursuit. After completing her education at Ypsilanti High School, she obtained a bachelor's degree in social work, a master's degree in education administration leadership from Eastern Michigan University, and a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan. In 2000, she began her public service journey as a Trustee for the township, honing her skills as an empathetic listener and a community advocate. By 2021, she served as Deputy Treasurer under the mentorship of retired Treasurer Brenda L. McKinney. With close to 25 years of service in Superior Township, Lisa was later appointed by the Board of Trustees to the role of Treasurer in 2022. Lisa's community engagement includes mediation at the Dispute Resolution Center, involvement in the Victim Services Unit, and Critical Incident Stress Management in Washtenaw County. Additionally, she has dedicated over a decade to serving on the boards of the Ypsilanti Area Community Foundation and The Corner Health Center. Lastly, she values her enduring membership as a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
